The Pahang Bar Committee is organising the PAHANG BAR ANNUAL DINNER 2009/2010 on 23 January 2010 at Hyatt Regency Kuantan at 7.30 p.m. Cost per pax: RM70 or RM700 per table. Attire: Lounge Suit/Formal. Members are to book their tables/seats through the Honorary Secretary and send all cheques in favour of "Pahang Bar Committee" to secure tables/seats. Note: Vegetarian food is available upon request but advance notice must be given for such arrangements. |

Pursuant to numerous complaints made against the Courts, The Pahang Bar Committee is compiling feedback (with supporting facts and the names of the presiding judges/Magistrates/Registrars) from all members with regards to the same to enable the Committee to bring them up with the Managing Judge, Y.A. Dato' V.T. Singham. The Committee would like to urge all members to be forthcoming with these details and do so to safeguard the interests of the Pahang Bar. Please revert ON AN URGENT BASIS by today to the Pahang Bar Chairman (Mr. R. The Supreme Court of the United Kingdom has now replaced the House of Lords as the highest court in the land since October this year. Established through the Constitutional Reform Act 2005, the SC will hear civil appeal cases from the whole of UK and criminal appeal cases from England, Wales and Northern Ireland. Its proceedings will be routinely filmed and made available to broadcasting companies. The Supreme Court is housed in Parliament Square, London. |
