TO THE MEMBERS OF PAHANG BAR Re : Invitation to participate in a “buddy system” for court-assigned counsel for capital cases The Bar Council is aware that some Members of the Bar would like to be considered for appointment as court-assigned counsel for capital cases but are unable to comply with the stipulated criteria. As such, the Bar Council invites Members who wish to gain the necessary experience to participate in a “buddy system” whereby each Member will be paired up with a senior criminal law practitioner who handles capital cases and who is willing to serve as a mentor. Members who are interested should inform Mr. Bob Arumugam, our Criminal Law Chairperson, who will facilitate the process of putting you in touch with experienced criminal law practitioners. |
